			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Looks like Slashdot&#8217;s &#8220;Firehose&#8221; is <a href="http://slashdot.org/firehose" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/slashdot.org');" target="_blank">finally going public</a> &#8212; you know, the social / public voting mechanism for Slashdot stories.  Not much to say here, other than the obvious (I won&#8217;t say it), but I suppose it&#8217;ll be useful in that the Slashdot community can directly talk about the same stories on Slashdot as opposed to Digg.
