- In response to my initial post on Madkast, the widget that is enabling me to “share” posts, Doug Ludlow the co-founder of Madkast says that they will in fact have their analytics package together soon. Apparently they are brushing up on their web interface first. Hopefully this will provide some interesting information as to who or when or what is actually being shared on this blog (my money’s on “my mother”, “almost never”, “posts that I would never predict”). Incidentally, Doug — if you’re listening? I’m finding that the share widget pops up on a fairly inconsistent basis. Sometimes its up … sometimes it doesn’t show up. Is this going to be fixed too? - I’d love to know if anyone actually uses the “share this” widget? Does Forrester? How about Om “Let A Thousand Widgets Bloom” Malik? There are loads of them. I used to have one on ver 1.2 of the DJI theme, using a Wordpress extension and I’m pretty sure no one used it (but it certainly was a broken CSS eye sore). Madkast is supposed to change that, as a widget which does the “share this” thing, *and* supposed to provide metrics. The problem, however, is that there is no actual login page to view said metrics, nor any confirmation (by email) that you’ve set something up at Madkast. Whoops. (8) # // 8.4.07 @ 9:25
