Well, the contest is off due to a lack of interest — either because no one really likes the Chumby (come on, guys!), or perhaps because you can just pick one up off the shelf (via your browser, of course) for $179.

First of all — I don’t have a Chumby to give away, I don’t even have one for myself.

But, man, looking at Dave Winer’s description of the thing, it makes me want one.

BitTorrent to distribute updates, cool form factor, widgets, a potential webserver? Its a geek’s wet dream.

In fact, I’d give almost anything to have one.
