I found out about the Shyftr announcement thanks to Louis' alert on Twitter, incidentally. And as an aside, I actually think that Shyftr has *not* "rectified the item," but that's another discussion entirely. ;-) I think that twitter is a great support / supplement to techmeme, probably more useful and helpful than an RSS reader for picking up on breaking news.
