I do everything from highlighting works I find impressive to rattling off ideas that something I read on-line gave me for stories to speculating on the ways using different mediums might change what we produce.

I’ve been using podcasting, blogging and “zero budget” marketing techniques to build an audience for my novel fiction. Thanks to my community-building techniques — and the evangelism of my podcast listeners — I recently landed two book contracts with St. Martin’s Press.
