A (Long) Argument For Social Voting Not Being The Exclusive Providence of Digg ™.

In a long eloquent argument that carries not the slightest whiff of sour grapes, the guy behind one of the bigger digg clones social news sites argues for why social voting is merely a feature — and if this is so, why its silly to call any one site which has this feature prominently a “clone” of the first and most successful version of this.  Interesting argument, but a) isn’t this conversation more than a few months old? (does anyone care about this kind of nomenclature anymore?) and b) are any of those initial digg clones social news sites still around?
