So as you may or may not know, I am going to be a panelist at Mesh 2007, which is just next week.  Mesh, for those not following the new media circuit, is Canada’s own Web Conference, which features a number of interesting speakers this year, including keynotes by Mike Arrington of TechCrunch and Richard Edelman, CEO of Edelman

The panel that I’m on is going titled “Pros vs. Amateurs — The War for Attention“, and so I’ve decided that over the next few days I’ll try and sneak in a few posts on this topic, in an effort to jog and massage some relevant information into my fatigue-addled brain.  That, and so that I don’t completely look like an ass with some of my other distinguished panelists, as it looks like I’m representing the “Amateur” side of the equation.

If any of you have any interesting thoughts you think should be brought up, please leave them here or in subsequent posts, and I’ll try and bring them all up in some form or another next week (with proper attribution, of course! :) )

Mix up a chemical cocktail to induce a heart attack if things go bad on the panel.

“Yeah, well, this amateur just saved your live!”

    boom

    debate won

Although, I guess at that point I wouldn’t really be functioning as an amateur … heh heh. ;)
