9Rules can impossibly list all the good blogs due to their exclusive membership. ;-)

Well everybody said that we were losing exclusivity when we had the last Round, but now that we’ve shut down submissions, people are upset that they didn’t apply :) We get sliced by the double-edged sword a lot lol.

Mike — damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

How about introducing a public vote for new submissions? Or, if you feel uncomfortable about a entirly vote deciding new submissions, maybe it can help choose the top 10 in each category, thereby whittling the job down for judges?

Tony that was something that we thought about a few months ago, another way to do the submission rounds through public voting, or recommendations, etc. For now we’ve shut them down for a few different reasons, one of which is that we’re happy with the size of our current 9rules membership and don’t see the need to grow any larger. Another reason is that we’re focused on the site and improving my.9rules so that the members we have can get even more exposure. The problem is that although having more members means having more content to showcase, each individual member gets less singular recognition, so we wanted to cap our membership and focus more on our current members and how we can do more to benefit them.
