This was a thoughtful post.  I, too, retract how I once felt about blogs without comments.  Yes, they are conversations, but some blogs warrant the reader to just sit, ponder, read, and listen -- almost in reverence.  

I&#039;d argue, however, that most blogs don&#039;t merit that reverence.  Godin&#039;s material certainly doesn&#039;t, yet he doesn&#039;t allow comments; similarly with other blogs.  But, some blogs, as with your patient&#039;s blog -- blogs of that kind merit some reverence and empathy, without comments.</description>
