Tony,

I think you're spot on with the "indistinguishable from the man who hired us..." bit and then to go to the other extreme as what has been happening (or not happening) over the past week. Hence, why I decided to move on, albeit my role was only a measly weekly column ... I guess it was fun while it lasted.

Folks have to remember that blogging is a totally different beast to anything before it - you develop close relationships over time with your audience/readers/blog owners (as in Matt's case).

As for me, a big reason why I joined the Blog Herald was that I had this connection with Matt - we were on the same wavelength. So it was a pleasure to write for him and know that he was always excited when we hit something out of the park. And this all developed over time, even before he bought the BH at the start of this year.

The moral of this rambling: you have to really want to blog for someone, someone that you know and trust - and once again, it highlights the fact that blogs are about the individual(s) behind them - hence why it's always tough to sell a blog and expect it to stay the same.

All the best guys and Tony, good luck with your decision.

Tony- please feel free to drop me a line with any of your concerns or questions. I hope that I have explained in the comments part of the BH "announcement" as to why there was a 1 day delay and also, I extend my apologies to you here as well for any unease caused.

Jessica ... I think we've all sent emails, messages and the like well before their maturity -- and believe me, I spent my share of "who the hell *IS* our new overlords ... ?" ... just ask Matt, who, as the professional as he is, never leaked anything out.

Keep in touch Jessica ... I guess we all have to make some choices soon. I'm hoping we'll be hearing from Abe as well (soon too).

Cheers
