Yes, there are many, many, many problems with how alexa measures traffic — but the folks at Alexa have looked at YouTube’s traffic and have noticed that in spite of record week over week growth, things look like they’re tailing off.

When?  Oh … October 9th.   The date that the YouTube acquisition was announced.
(On the other hand, snapshot doesn’t quite tell the same story … but it looks like its leveling off a little).

Is YouTube jumping the shark with all its pulled media?  It’ll be interesting to see how the traffic level continues over the next few months as the acquisition is finalized — and as more media companies either line up to sue, or settle, with YouTube.
