CNN hosts a blog party -- looks like fun!So here I am watching the mid-term elections on CNN, and what do I see?  Two rooms of bloggers that have been invited by CNN to chat about the election — one room for the democrats, and another for the republicans.

Its called the CNN BlogParty!

On Election Night, Tuesday, November 7th, CNN is hosting prominent bloggers from across the country - and across the ideological spectrum - to watch returns, blog alongside one another, and share political insights during its live election coverage. Parts of the event will be streamed live on CNN Pipeline and broadcasted live on CNN’s Election Night coverage starting at 7 PM E.T. Blogging begins at 4 PM and may continue into the early morning hours.

Man — it looks like fun!

Live blogging, getting interviewed — and you know what?  I’m sure they got some free food too. ;)

I think it really speaks towards to the influence bloggers have in politics; whether or not the same can be said in many other industries is difficult.  But if the political blogosphere is years ahead of other aspects of the blogosphere, I wonder if we’ll see a future when other industries do pay similar due to our input.
